Awesome tips to be a great web designer 0
I know quite a few designers who can make really good designs, however, they cave in when the client orders a new design project since they can work only from stolen materials. Others, in contrast, get stuck with a kind of style from which they are unable to get rid of.
If you are a webdesigner or a webdesigner-wannabe I can provide you with a couple of useful tips that you'd better take.
- The most important thing: Be persistent
- Always search for inspiration
- If you find a good idea copy and upgrade it in your own style
- Read many books and tutorials
- Improve your graphic software skills
- Do not plan advanced search into your design
- Learn a little typography
- Learn a little color theory
- Do not clone other webpages, ideas
- Do not listen if you get criticised
- Use proportional black and white wireframes when planning your site structure
- Forget the crowded structures
- Always use H1 for logo
- Avoid pop-ups and frames and iframes
- Keep large graphics and design elements to a minimum
- Use the W3c validator to check out your website validity then try to fix the errors
- Always wear sunglasses and nicely designed clothes
- Try and be humble (I am not like that and this is my biggest fault! ;-) )
